record my effects toggling

Post by alex1fly » Sun Nov 21, 2010 11:22 pm

How do I record things like device on/off into an arrangement that I've already created? Global recorded my song, now I want to go back and toggle my effects on and off... but record/encode that into my recorded arrangement.

Hi,
You have 2 options.

1, hit global record and play, then carry out the alteration on the desired track at the desired point in the arrangement.
or
2, You need to right click on the devices power button and click show automation from the options menu. The automation for this button will appear as a red line on the track on the arrangement. You can the edit the red line by double clicking and creating an edit point then, drag it down for off or up for on. I hope this is what you mean and so helps you.

Best,
Neil Gard

Yes, showing automation is what I was needing, thanks for pointing it out :)
