logic and live

Post by Guest » Mon Oct 21, 2002 8:41 pm

I just got Logic 5 and am confused about setting up live via rewire. All my input channels are greyed out so I can't select. Any logic users have tips for setting up live and rewire in LAP.

they shouldn't be greyed out if you have a ReWire app installed ... if that's not the case then there's obviously no options.

select an audio track and look in parameters box input line where it should say which track you're currently on. You then go through the pop-up (Instruments-->Other) and select the L Master Out of your rewire app. On another track you select the R Master out, pan them hard left and right, respectively, and open live.

Another possibility why you don't see rewire is that you have no ASIO compatible sound device.

Hey,

Thanks for the reply.. I'm using a MOTU 828, and all the inouts are greyed out so it must be something on my system. Any tips on how to resolve this if it's an ASIO issue.

You need a Core Audio driver for everything in OSX.

Look at the post date that you're quoting. It's from 2002 and it's outdated.

Here is a Reason 3.0 + Logic 7 setup example.
