A Place to Scribbe A few Notes

Post by adam8290 » Sat Dec 11, 2010 8:08 am

One of the few things that other programs have that I wish Live had is a place to scribble/type in some notes about the song. I write alot of songs. I like to work on an idea for awhile then move to something else. On the way out it is really nice to write a few notes about where I intend to go next. This would be a very small and seemingly easily implementable addition. I understand the Abes not wanting to have more than one screen in use at a time, but they are perfectly willing to expand and contract screens. This could be part of the Info Vew. There could be a tab at the top of this box for "Help info" and another for "User info". This box size should be expandable to the right into the plug-in space by the user. I'm not asking for a big word processor, nor something to write out all my lyrics. Just maybe 10 to 15 lines of notes about where the project is and where it is going. Hardly a coding nightmare, I would think. Think about it. It's a good idea. About the size of this message would do it.

You can already do this with the info view to some extent. If you right click on a clip or a track header, you can select the option to "Edit Info text".

I hadn't considered this option. It just might be enough, so Thanks! Thanks also, Tarekith, for your informative articles. I've enjoyed them over the years and I've referred others to them.
