Benchmarks or Performance of Live 8.1 on Macbook Air 2.26Ghz

on top of all the various reviews on the most recent MacBook Air models, I've just read a few threads here discussing their suitability with Ableton for production and live performance, but nothing really concentrating on the highest spec'd MacBook Air and mostly anecdotal.

Wondering if anyone can provide benchmarks or more detailed anecdotal/experience with Ableton performance on the highest specc'ed MacBook Air model (13" / 2.26Ghz CPU / 4GB RAM) and if it is worth the step up from the base 13" Model with 1.8Ghz CPU and 2GB RAM? as it is a bit of a price jump.

I use Ableton for recording/production reasonably intensively on a Win7 machine with Xeon QuadCore, maybe 5-10VST's at once, nothing insane. Also occasionally use it as part of a live guitar setup on a Win7 laptop, mainly to run a few specific patches with NI Guitar Rig 4. Looking to detach from my current methods a bit, whilst retaining portability and looking important in public coffee houses, ie. not all the way with something like a MBPro.
