Problem with APC 20

Hi,
My new APC 20 arrived yesterday and I'm having a couple of problems with it that I hope you guys can help me with.

I followed the enclosed instructions for setting it up with the Live Lite version it came with, and at first it seemed to be working fine but then it started acting up...

Basically the main problem is that the "Shift" button doesn't seem to be performing the functions which it is supposed to. When you hold down "Shift" and select one of the other fader functions e.g. Pan / Send A / Send B etc... it doesn't change the function of the fader.

Also the APC 20 freezes up on occasion and basically just stops working. No matter what button I press nothing happens!

I really hope this is some software setting I am overlooking and not faulty hardware on the part of the APC 20 :/

Managed to get it working but after a while the shift function once again ceased up... anyone have any ideas??
