Live 8.2.1 will not launch, just hangs forever

HI

I was running a max for live patch when Live crashed. Now it won't re-open, it just hangs while the start window says it's creating a bug report pack. I tried re-starting and trashing Live prefs as well.

I can't really help but you could help the people who can help you by giving them your computer specs.

A lot of helps in that sentence to say I didn't really help.

OK, after about 10 minutes, the program and patch finally opens. But when I go back to my Max for Live patch, half the interface elements are now missing.
Help?

Oh my computer specs are Mac OS X 10.5.8, 4 gigs ram, Live version 8.2.1 with Max for Live

Hi, I have had some problems almost like that, it seems that some third party max4live devices (in my case "jc reversr" or "zwift!!!" -available free from maxforlive.com) may generate audiofiles in the background somehow-which next time you open are unreadable to ableton (and any other audioplayer for that sake). When I went through my different project samples folders and threw out everything unreadable, the ableton-session would open again.
