Hello,

You can change the sounds if you use the bank/program change chooser.
E.g.:

Bank = 1
Sub-bank = 1
Program = use this to select your DLSdevice preset

Where is the bank/program change chooser?

I found about 4 threads on the quicktime synth (including this one) but no clear cut answers on how to switch to the other quicktime instruments other than the piano besides buying a $15 plugin to use the free quicktime synth.

One of the threads talked about making a .sf2 file for sound fonts. Don't know what that is. Anyone know an easy way to make program changes in Live? I can use all the sounds in Garageband and Numerology without any workarounds. Would be nice to access them in Live too.

What the heck, I guess I'll bump this baby.

So far I've only been able to access all the other quicktime synth sounds in Numerology. Can anyone explain better how to get to them in Live?

really easy....
Just load up a dsl synth.
Create a midi clip
Change preset with the program value in the clip box.
I dont think you even have to add the bank values.
Just program changes...

Cheers

I tried this method but only can choose three piano types from program 1 to 4, and then all the other programs are empty! Also, where can I put the soundfonts that I have collected to use with this synth?thanks
