Help! Song Tempo Automation Greyed Out In Arrange View

Trying to automate a tempo change but the 'song tempo' automation lane is greyed out, with a small grey circle on the tempo in the top left its self. I've checked all clips in arrange view are slave and not sure what else to check, any help would be hugely appreciated!

hmm, so unplugging my launchpad and restarting seems to have fixed it. -.-

In the future, try selecting the "back to arrangement" button - if something was greyed out in Arrangement view, then it's likely there was something in Session view that was overriding it.

Or if you have an effect mapped to any knob on your controller, and have recorded some automation in the arrangement view, if you move that knob after recording the automation, this will also "grey-out" the effect you have mapped. If you simply hit the global record button and hit play for just a second, the line will become pink again.
