using my midi controller knobs to control reason

excuse me for asking a question involving reason but i imagine other users on this forum rewire reason into ableton as well.

i can map parameters such as filter freq and res and such just fine to akai mpk mini when i'm using reason alone but when i rewire it into ableton it does not work.

anyone have insight into this matter?

I've been trying to work on it,
but every time I try,
Live ends up crashing after after a few minutes of having Reason 5 open in rewire mode .
