Creating Beats Question. Please Help Newbie!

I have been making my first beat in Live 8 and applied some changes to frequency and other adjustments in Impulse that should alter during playback.

On playback I hear all these changes to the beat and that felt good!

If I am happy with the changes at this point, is there something I need to do to keep them?

I ask because if I then move to another track and Record-arm it or begin working on that, the next time I play my beat on my first track, I still see all the changes I applied but I cannot hear them.

Please can someone tell me what I need to do to hear/keep the changes active on that midi track I made the beat on? (I am sure it is a silly newbie omission but would greatly appreciate some help!)

I really don't remember - I could have recorded in either.

I think I originally created the beat in Session view. I then pressed the Record button at the top in order to record the changes I mentioned but this could have been in Session or Arrangement View.

Which should I have recorded in?

Did you record in Arrangement or Session view mode? If you aren't sure, try clicking the button with the arrow to the right of the button that says "OVR"

I see the changes in Arrangement view so I'd think I should be able to hear them but I can't?

I'm pretty sure u just need to hit the RED BUTTON next to the OVR button at the top. That is the back to arrangement view. If that doesnt work, msg me on skype and we can do screen sharing and figure it out.
