Midi mapping problem

Having problem hear with midding mapping. Just got a m audio x session pro for as an additional controller and i want to map the controllers faders and pots to live.
Live can see the midi controllers data coming in via the midi in indicator.
i have the the in and remote switched on of the x session swicthed on in the midi preferences.
But in midi mapping mode live doesnt see any of the controllers midi data - although it is still indicating on lives midi in indicator.

What basic thing am i missing hear guys ?

Try switching remote on in the midi preferences for your soundcard.
