Please help!! I thought this should be easy.........

Post by dennisjr » Mon Feb 14, 2011 3:50 pm

I'm going to play live this thursday and am trying to warp my exported tracks from Cubase.
I exported them as 6 tracks. One for drums, one for bass etc.
I already know the tempo of the track, and do set the loop start to 000, but some of them doesn't warp correctly still after doing that.

Any solutions for this?
What am I doing wrong?

turn off warp, set the Live set to the bpm they're recorded at, try again.

there's a setting in Live's preferences to "Autowarp long samples". that might be messing with you a bit if its on...

also, don't forget to account for empty (quiet) space on your track in Cubase. if [for example] your guitar starts on bar 1 beat 1 but your drums don't start until bar 4 beat 1, then you should still mix down the blank (quiet) space at the beginning. it makes it much easier to line the tracks up when you bring them over to Live - that way you can just crate audio tracks and put your exported pieces at the very beginning of each track... without having to line it all up. saves time.
