Show Preference Folder

Post by loquat » Fri Feb 18, 2011 10:02 pm

I have been trying to get into my preference folder to edit a User Remote Script in Live 8.2 in Windows 7 and I am having problems finding my preference folder. I used to go through the help menu. Help --> get suppont --> show preference folder, but that was with Live 8 and Windows XP. Anyone know where the folder is in Windows 7? I looked in C:/User/username/ but I can't see app data or anything so I don't know whether or not it's in there.
Anyone know how to get there easily: through Live's help tab or through Windows 7 explorer?
Thanks

I figured it out and I thought I would post it just in case anyone else is having the same problem in Windows 7.
The reason Appdata is so difficult to find is that it isn't really a folder.
1. Run %appdata% in the "Search Program and Files" from the start bar.
2. A folder called Roaming should be found.
3. Proceed through that folder Roaming/Ableton/Live 8.*/Preferences/ User Remote Scripts

Hope someone finds that useful.
