midi tweak recording in session
midi tweak recording in session
it would be fantastic if we could be able to record midi automation in session mode, rather than recording as arrangement and then copy paste to session...
i looked but only found some other threads where this feature was part of a list. i think this wish deserves it's own thread. (like every other one. seems to me much easier than a list, for us to find kindred souls and for ableton to wade through the lot.)

Yep.
(Here we meet again?)
Added: How is it that automation in clips are tied to the set BMP, not to the BMP of the clip?
If I have a nice sine curve as automation, I would like it to be faster/slower. Strange.

Yes. This is huge. The power of Live for me is to start with clips and create an arrangement.
Why should we have to record in arrangement, paste into session, then record our final mix back into arrangement just to record real time mapped MIDI gestures?
I understand the current implementation implements "relative" changes in the clip, but to me that is backwards.
Perhaps, along with MIDI clip automation recording, a preference setting to select the "master" record automation source would solve this issue?
