midi drum velocity

Hi

Am plugging Roland V drum in to M-Audio audiophile 2496 midi.

It seems that the velocity is really low and the midi results are therefore quiet.

How can i crank it up a bit?

Anyone help?

There should be a way to change the response curves on the v drums, or if it is just volume you are after, stick a utility on the track and crank it up.
