This problem occurs on my Wintel rig. I don't have all of my MIDI stuff hooked up to my laptop all of the time so I will append this post when I try it out on the laptop.

Session view vs. Arrange view MIDI note detection
If I play notes with my MPD16 into a clip in the session view, some notes will not be recorded even though I could hear them while I was hitting the pads. If I record the MPD16 in the arrange view, I get a totally accurate recording. Can someone address this?
