How to split midi keyboard into different instruments

Hi all, hope you can help

I have a MIDI keyboard and I want to be able to have two different instruments mapped accross it.

Let's say for example the first 2 octaves would be Abletons Grand Piano, the other octaves an Absynth patch.
How do I se this up?

Also, on a similar tip, is it possible to layer another instrument on top, let's say a hi-hat from Sampler triggered when the piano is played
