Piano noise?

Post by ethanismusic » Mon Mar 21, 2011 2:20 am

Every time I use click anything (or trigger something from my midi controller for that matter) in Live, there is a piano key sound. It seems to be different pitches for different things, so I would assume that means my clicking is triggering an actual piano and not just a unusable action sound.

any tricks to turn the sound off? btw I made sure it was Live making this noise already. thanks

You'll have to look around for it. You most likely have some virtual piano running on your computer, or maybe a synth/keyboard that you're unknowingly affecting.

I checked my volume mixer under my start toolbar (not on ableton) and it showed me that the sound was in fact coming from ableton.

any solutions?

Disable the Windows GM synth.
