hi, im new here and to ableton and would like to ask for some help using my version of ableton 8.1.
i just recently bought myself an mpd32. i'm looking to use this as a launch pad as well as a drum pad for live mixing, much like the setup Nosaj has in his KEXP mix (pretty much the exact same layout).
so i used Seppe's preset (http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php? ... 74&start=0) which seemed my best bet to use as it allows the MPD32 to be used much like an APC40, allowing movement of the banks across clips without dedicated pads to clips. i copied the files into the midi folder specified on my Mac, followed the steps etc. ableton recognises in the midi sync that i have the folder in there, yet when it comes to dumping the preset, it doesnt let me press the annoyingly greyed out button. be this because of something i havent pressed or my utter stupidity to midi in general, i feel there is something blatantly obvious that i have missed.
any help as to why this is so would be great, i'm really wishing to use my gear in this way because it seems the most logical way. im new to ableton and this controller, so my ignorance to this all is hopefully spared!
