hello people, im a absolute begineer when it comes to ableton live 8, i have installed ableton to my new mac as the pdf instructions on the 2 x disc, installation and sampled instruments.i also have tom cosm tutorial dvds to guide me. when i have seen the instruments folder opened i only have five of the 10 instruments there. analog and opperator are missing also electric, tension and samplar. i have repaired my library but i still have no joy.

could you please help me thanku.

Hi, did you buy Live 8, or Live 8 Suite? The instruments you mention are part of the Suite, or to buy separately, not part of the standard Live 8.

Hi i got a copy of live 8, so non of those five are listed on this one then?

Yeah, that's the confusing thing - even the non-Suite Live will install the *live pack presets* for those instruments so that you can play just the presets, but you can't edit them or create your own new sounds with those instruments. Bit like a demo/teaser of the instruments, but not the full thing.

This was useful information. One of my friends had similar problems and he completely removed Live 8 and installed suite and got that resolved.
