Sync Ableton through Roland SH 201

Roland SH 201 can be used as external soundcard (via USB) for Ableton, a very nice feature! But when it comes to sync Live over SH 201´s Midi In from a master it won´t work (of course sync in Abletons Midi settings activated). Has anybody an idea?
