Yes, but it's a very hard box.

I don't get this thread. I could understand if it were a TRUE analog synth, but the Nord is just virtual analog. If you like that, then check out some of the Alesis Andromeda or Dave Smith Poly Evolver videos on youtube. They're TRUE analog.

It may well be soft on the inside(we all are), but i wish any of the softsynths woreked as well, not to mention that NL has unrivaled interface.

c'mon you are mr. Ergonomics after all, technically speaking on paper there are allot of superior alternatives but when it comes to what gives an instrument its soul the nords pack mucho mojo.
watching someone enjoy a nord lead and someone enjoy a softsynth is an entirely different experience. imho it's interface is king among modern synths, even though I'm a novice when it comes to synthesis it's endless fun which is great for creativity.
