Not sure how useful it is, but it looks pretty accurate to me.

i've seen that shootout a few times now and they do the same thing every year and FL is always the best DAW and Ableton among the lowest rated.. i wonder if 3phase is somehow involved.. :?

Must be accurate as Live really shines on mastering applications

Where are the rows for a "session view" and "ability to "create your own effects and instruments" and "access DAW API to control it however you want"?

Gee, heavily favors DAWs that either were or are only available on PC.

what a stupid test where ableton live scores better for mixing and mastering than pro tools...

however that live makes the last place is actually a realistic end result

so let me get this straight...

DJ Vespers submitted unsolicited information to the Ableton forum with negative results that 3Phase doesn't like...

"loops & remix ability" -- live gets a 3.5 and cubase a 4.3 ????

uh, No. absurd.

and "environment" -- no, not even gonna touch that.

i used live before it even had the ability to do midi.. and its still inferior as a daw..

they dont even have a propper quantisation algorythm.. 1984 c-64 software was more advanced in this regard as ableton live ..
The file handling is an allways changing nightmare inkl snowblid search...one cant work in multiple song versions simultaniously..
no timecode support..at least none that works propperly..and the soundquality? of cause mr villalobos dont has tomatos on the eras..he just has speakers for 50K in an treated room...

so it allways was out of question that live dont wins a daw shoot out and as it looks they never will..

problem is that its started to be not good for stage anymore either.. And that the developement towards a magix music maker software for teletubbys is questionable too. The time will come where its an image loss to be seen with ableton live on stage..quite similar as what dj´s that use it experiance today..
but that wasnt the question ..wright?

so as a daw live is in any case supposed to be on the last places.. thats no suprise.. the upper ranking is a bit questionable.
And such industry leading platforms like pro tools just in the middle and nuendo not even mentioned...

So not really a valid test

Live is the only DAW that can do what I need my DAW to do. Doesnt matter how its rated.

where is workflow? :P

live get gold there... :P

tbh, i also have cubase6 and really dig it for mixing/mastering lately, but when it comes to actually working the audio/arranging i couldn't do it at the speed i like without live..so easily editable and overlookable...
guess im a bit of a daw-hopper lately :P

anyway, whatever floats your boat, eh? ;)
