Hi!
Why does the automation (lines and points) turn gray when I change a parameter manually?
I open up a default set, drag a audio effect (utility for instance), go to arrangement view, draw some automation for the gain parameter. Then I manually change the gain value directly on the utility device. Instantly the automation curve turns gray; it's no longer possible to make any edits in that automation lane. Is this intentional?
One cannot undo the manual change either, which I find a bit strange.

Sorry. Sould have read the manual. This is described on page 253 (section 18.3, Overriding Automation).
