Split Cueing and Volume

Hello, I've searched for the answer to this question but have had no success.

I'm using ableton for live performance and have a cue out configured to go to my headphones in the same way I'd use with a standard DJ deck. Thing is, currently when I cue a track the cue volume is completely independent of the track I'm going to mix in. Sometimes a song in a track will be a lot louder and if I slam it in, then that particular track will come in way too loud (something I wouldn't be able to verify b/c the cue volume doesn't reflect on the particular track volume).

Here's what I want to do: have the main mix playing through the left side of my headphone (as well as through a stereo output) and the track I cue play through the right. How do I accomplish the routing for this? It appears the L/R outputs are always tied up.

Another possibility I'd like to figure out how to do is to be able to cue both the master track and the track I wish to blend in so that I hear them mixed in my headphones, but they only mix in the master channel when I move the crossfader to the middle.

first to split L/R open the audio prefs and enable the outs for mono.... for your other issues you could acheive them with routing your audio through a track and some returns tracks im on my phone ask if u need more help
