m-audio 410 audio interface not working

hi there i no this is an ableton forum, but there seems to be alot of people on hear with some good knowledge, my m-audio 410 is not working properly iv installed all the latest drivers (os 10.6.7) and it is still cutting out and making weird noises etc, iv tried the 410 on my friends macbook and it seems ok, could you please help,

p.s the 410 was working fine for the first few days when i installed it,

my laptop is a macbook pro 15" i7 quad core (early 2011)

i used to have an m-audio 1814 and it was probably one of the worst cards i've ever had. Not that it sounded all that bad, but the drivers were always unstable.. and getting the latest drivers doesn't necessarily mean that's the best solution.. I remember i had to revert to an older version of the m-audio software because every other release would cause problems. This also meant i could not update my OS cuz it only worked up to a certain version..

So maybe try an older version of the m-audio drivers.. and don't be too quick to the latest 10.6.x release.. if it works, don't mess with it or at least back it up so you can revert..
