What mastering programs would you recommend getting?

Massive is poor at mastering

Look at Sonnox and Flux.

Yup, I love this little gem. Doesn't cost much, is really transparent and sounds wonderful when used with a well mixed track. Slate FX-G is here to stay (in my plugins folder anyway)

For me Izotope 'Ozone' all the way, but any decent mastering boff would probably say, 'If you mean mastering for digital release of a home studio on a budget' then learn what each process in the mastering stage is and apply a combination of those through plugins you need and simple adjustment to get the result you want.

Limiters, Eq, Compressor (maybe multi band).

But you know this.

Ozone is ok for doing your own mastering, easy to use and th manual is something anyone should read anyway if theyre thinking of mastering their own work. Just remember the presets are a starting point, and just because you have all those modules, doesn't mean you HAVE to use them all. Use only the ones you NEED. Read this too:
