Clip Mute (Launchpad)
Clip Mute (Launchpad)
When I originally played around with the LP - I had the set up that every time you press a button under the row currently playing, it will stop the row above from playing immediately. Just recently this is no longer the case. I'm not quite sure what I've done wrong...?

My LP never operated in that fashion (it's not designed to).
Are you sure you didn't midi map it and then delete it? Are you editing the scripts? Was the stop buttons instant or quantized with the set?

Re: Clip Mute (Launchpad)
you have to quantization to "none" rather than global/bar/beat etc... though this will also make all your clips launchable at any point as well.

Re: Clip Mute (Launchpad)
Not sure what you mean exactly, but the Launchpad's sesssion mode just launches clip slots. If you launch a slot with no clip in it, by default it stops any other clips from playing in that track.Allan2356 wrote:When I originally played around with the LP - I had the set up that every time you press a button under the row currently playing, it will stop the row above from playing immediately. There are two conditions I know of where this won't happen:
- The track is armed for recording, so launching a clip in an empty slot starts recording in that slot
- You have manually removed the "stop clips" button from that cell
Does this shed any light on the issue?

Re: Clip Mute (Launchpad)
I'm pretty sure he's saying that because he has quantize on, that set number of beats has to pass before launching the next empty clip stops the previous one from playing, whereas he wants it to stop the clip the second he presses the button. but he seems to have cross-posted this question anyway and gotten responses on that one.
