Using arrangment view and Scene Launch together

I'm looking to re-work my live performance set, mainly consolidate it by somehow incorporating the session view, but don't know if its possible. Currently, my entire set is set up in arrangement view, I have about 20 or so songs, that all have markers at the beginning of each song. Each song, contains 2-5 audio/midi instrument tracks that I play live using my keyboards, and those audio/midi tracks have automation programmed into the timeline. So when I go to play a song, I simply jump to the marker for that song, arm the tracks I'll be playing live on my synth (the tempo is programmed on the master track), and I'm good to go.

I was recently reading about the "edit scene launch tempo" and it got me thinking. Maybe I could put all of my songs in one single track on ableton, and then use the scene launch buttons to control the tempo. This works fine, except for when you use the scene launch button the "back to arrangement" button goes red, so that means any automation I have programmed into the audio/instrument tracks that I play live do not register, there in lies the problem.

Is there any way to use the scene launch (with custom tempos) and the arrangement view together? So is there a way to make it so the audio/midi tracks I play live don't turn "grey" and the automation I programmed in registers as it follows the timeline?

When you use the Scene Launch controls, do you make sure to turn off all the stop buttons across that scene?

No I haven't done this in the past. So you're saying disable all of the stop buttons for the tracks in which I have audio/midi instruments assigned to that I play live, and when I use the scene launch button to start a song, those tracks won't be "greyed" out in the arrangement view (hence allowing for pre-programmed automation)? I'm at work now, but will have to give this a go once I get home, this could be exactly the thing I am looking for.

Correct me if my explanation above is different than what you are suggesting.

This is what I'm doing now, and its all in the arrangement view from track to track, in that view, the set has gotten to be over 100 minutes in length.

So i'm looking to have all my songs in 1 track in session view, then have all my instruments in the arrangement view (with pre-programmed automation that will register has the track progresses through the timeline). So the longest it will ever run in arrangement view will be the length of my longest song. It will also reduce the number of actual tracks I use, and will be easier to keep track of.

Basically, any time you hit 'play' 'stop' or 'record' in a Session View channel, it overrides the Arrangement View. If you do not hit any of those buttons for a specified channel, Ableton Live will leave it alone and let the Arrangement do its thing. It is kind of fun to remove the stop buttons, and then just have at it with triggering Scenes of different bpms. It is even more fun with the Global Quantize set to none I think you can imagine. Watch out for your delays They'll either jumble up (fade mode) or repitch (pitch mode).. but that could be fun sometimes haha.
