Playing from stopping point with space bar

It doesn't appear that you can change the key commands to have the space bar continue to play from where you stopped. This seems like a common function that people would like to have. The manual shows that hitting the up arrow and the space bar would do this, but a) it doesn't and b) I want it to just be the space bar. Any help?

Try holding shift while hitting the space bar.

I will when I'm on my laptop, but is there no way to change that to just the space bar?

I'm not aware of a way to do that within live. Maybe someone else can chime in here.

That seems really dumb. It's an option in Cubase and seems like it would be an option in every sequencer.
