tempo problem in ableton live 8

hello, so i've ableton live 8. and i've got a problem. I've set my tempo to some virtual drums in ableton. let's say kit-909something and i set it to a loop so i wont have to write the hole thing for as long as ever. I am a bit of a newbie with this stuff but i'm just stranded here and i can't figure it out. So i bought a metronome and set the drums from ableton cause they seemed a bit out of place and i just found out that after only 3 minutes my drums lose the tempo and after more 3 minutes they get it back. that is just annoying.i had my tempo on 120 and then in that box next to it that i don't find a use of there's 4/4 and in the quantization menu it's set to none.I read all sort of stuff that you have to fix that quantization menu and then i don't remember what. What can i do? why isn't ableton keeping the tempo? i'm so desperate. is it because it's in a loop?cause the loop keeps it for a bit but then it looses it. or is it cause of the echo? I've tried without echo and it's the same problem. well just jump right in cause i don't have a clue. thanks for reading

Is this a pre-made loop or did you program it your self? You said you bought a metronome? Anyway, open your midi note editor at the bottom of the application and check the note duration and timings. Do they all lie on the lines of the grid or do they spill over into adjacent measures? Did you input the notes via keyboard or by hand with the mouse? If you recorded the midi loop you made with a keyboard, then when it's done recording you can highlight all the midi notes in the editor, right click, and select quantize. Then fix things by hand if they aren't aligned properly or go to quantize settings underneath quantize and select the subdivision you want to fix the notes too.
