The Mouth has semi-decent MIDI output from audio input

Not as exact as you might want, but it works okay.

I tried the widisoft demo but the result was quite crazy... it didnt even sustain notes.

Sonuus look interresting but I cant know without shelling 200$.

Im going to check the Mouth right now!!

I actually own one, but I can't sing well, nor have I tried it with a mic. I may try some time and I'll post my result here...

really? if you could test it, that would be very cool. I just wonder if the midi is going to sound like what you sing or something unusable... because all the freeware I tried convert my voice to rubbish midi random clickering...

I wonder if I could do a flute sole by whisteling... like...

You need to find one of these on eBay: Breakaway Vocalizer 1000.

You can beatbox a drum loop into ableton
extract groove, apply to other drum loops
????
profit?

I've never played with grooves... should I?

All the grooves I see in ableton library are for latina stuff... look very unsinpiring to me. But maybe Im missing a good tool.

Yeah, im thinking hard about the sonuus... it really look like the best "real-time" option. Im just afraid to buy it and realize that it suck with vocals... There is no exemple on the web... its all guitar or bass...

Go to 5:30

I've got a G2M, and it's pretty much the best monophonic pitch-to-MIDI hardware you'll find at that price point.

I would still say check out the Mouth and see how that treats you, but for hardware, the G2M is probably your best bet (short of spending a couple grand)
