Ableton midi to automatic note editor ?

Has someone experience how to connect the midi tracks of an ableton live set with an automatic midi2note process?
Mostly one uses the ableton software for live processing but there are situations (e.g. composition, teaching) where it would be very helpful to have a graphical representation of the midi tracks as 'classical notes'.

For this I'm recording the midi notes from Live into another sequencer, eg. Logic.

But there is also a new integrated solution with MaxForLive:
