4.0 or 4.1 does it sound better than 3.0.4 after rendering.

I'm using Ableton 3.0.4 and every time i finalize a mix or render to disk it sounds kind of glassy in the recording it's not to bad but i think it sound kind of crappy. I have spoking to many and they all say to never finalize in ableton live all ways rewire into Acid Cakewalk ProTools or Logic for the finalizing or what is knowned as render to disk in ableton live. My first question is why has ableton not fixed this problem i love working in the live domain i don't want to have to go from one program to the next' can they fix this issue make it sound like to pro sequencer like logic even acid' it seams to sounds better on the Export of a Mix than ableton live render to disk, and
my second question is make a export mix to disk it takes to long to render track to disk. Have they fix these problem with 4.0 or 4.1 does it sound better when you render to disk more pro' and have they made the render to disk faster.
