I am currently lengthening the midi notes in a recording I've done, but the notes don't continue to play past the point at which I initially stop the recording. How do I lengthen the recording time so that I can hear my lengthened notes? I know its a simple question but I can't spend another two hours trying to figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: note lengthening in recording, please help!
If I follow correctly you're saying that the clip stops before the last note plays, because you've lengthened the notes within a clip. In this case, select your clip and open up Clip View down at the bottom. You probably have this open already, since that's where you edit MIDI notes in a clip. Under the "Notes" box on the lower-left (you might have to click the little button under the "Clip" box) there are fields for Start and End, as well as loop position. Chances are you either want to extend the loop length (if Loop is on) or the End position (if Loop is off).
When your current project is done, I'd definitely recommend reading through chapter 8 in the Live manual, about clip view. It's a bit technical, but it's something like 20 pages and should cover most everything about editing clips. It'll definitely be a quicker read than two hours.
I hope this solves your problem, if not, could you elaborate on the situation, maybe post some screenshots? It'll help get a better idea of what the problem is. Best of luck.

Re: note lengthening in recording, please help!
Thank you for the help. I did attempt to fix the problem by adjusting the start and end points in the clip box but its just not doing the trick. I tried to call Ableton support several times but either they're too busy or the phone line is messed up. I'll keep trying. In the meantime if you have any other suggestions please let me know. To give you a better idea of my problem:
The clip stops playing where I initially hit the global stop button during recording, regardless of how much I lengthen the clip or manipulate the end point in the clip box. The note that I play is sustained with my piano pedal during the duration of the clip. But I've done some tests, and this seems irrelevant to fixing the problem.
