has anyone tested efficiency of loops in live?
it seems there are two ways to turn a segment of a song into loops:
1) cut the file up into the loop sections you wish to use. import loops into live. live auto creates asd files for each file you import... done.
2) import the longer segment and manually mark up where the loop points are. manually save different asd files with different loop settings, all of which refer to the same one file.
now, when you're playing back a bunch of these, which of the above cases is more efficient/uses less resources?
does playing back multiple references to the same segment cause degraded or improved performance? anyone know?
