ASIO4all, do i need an external sound card?

Im trying to configure my Ableton for ASIO. When I use the default driver (MEE/Direct X), the test tone works. When I switch to ASIO, it doesnt make any sound. Any ideas?

Hmm, guess I need to hit up their forums. When I select it in Ableton, it wont produce sound. Test or anything.

nah, been using it for years with an external sound card, it works better than the stock driver.

OP - you have to do more than select it, you have to configure it. can't solve your problem without going through the settings. wrong sample rate, outputs not enabled, could be lots of things.

well Tone, you got a good one, when I use Asio4All for external soundcards [one usb 2.0 and the other is firewire], they run better with their own asio driver.
