obviously it's usually the other way around.. but I opened up a old song where all the work was in the arrangment, nothing on session and since i am a bit stuck on this song, is there a fast way or key shortcut of copying the clips playing in the arrangement to session view where i could probably try out more different things faster?
thanks,

drag and drop... use the tab key to change views

i assume you mean if i have a 4 bar section in the arrangement, i set the loop brace for that 4 bar and click the loop bar to highlight all.. drag and drop that to session and it will do all clips? sorry, at work and can't try til i get home.. not so much worried about the automation that's associated with the arrangment cuz i know there are limitations.. but mainly getting all the clips copied at once instead of doing it one at a time..Dragonbreath wrote:drag and drop... use the tab key to change views

He means what ever sample you have in arrangement, hold left click on sample...tab...drop into whichever slot you want ( or appropriate channel) .

you may encounter some problems if you have automation in the arrangement view. some options that are available for automation in arrangement view aren't available in session view, so its actually impossible to transfer some clips.
