Set warp marker?

Hi this is my first post, so id first like to say hello.
Anyway the main reason im here is that ive been trying to find out whether it is possible to add warp markers to songs using a button on my apc. In other words is it possible to map midi to set warp marker?

really don't see how a 'set warp marker' midi button would be beneficial on it's own - surely you'd need another midi button to scrub/scroll through your track, possibly one to zoom in, another to zoom out, something to drag the marker to the grid, etc.. etc.. etc..

how would a midi button make this process any easier?

I dunno if its just me, but wouldnt it be good if i could load in a track and drum along 1/4 to the music to get the tempo all set up. or even just while your looking at the wave form to hit a button to add markers where you want to adjust. no r is there a better way of doing this kinda thing?

Depends I guess..

What if you track has a long intro, how does Live figure out where playback should start, and which is the first 'beat'..

What if your timing is off even slightly? you'll have clashing beats if you don't go back and hand edit them with a mouse..

In reality the more you do it, the quicker & easier it gets.. and most of the time if you're playing music made in the last decade once you get your first bunch of warp markers in place you can often 'warp from here' while right-clicking on your last warp marker and Live does a decent job so long as the track doesn't have funky timing.

Unless you have the precise editing ability of a mouse, or similar you'll just be spending as much time going back over your tracks and correcting stuff you couldn't drum perfectly in time to.
