Rewire error message at startup that won't go away

I hope someone can help with this, as it is mad annoying. I was trying out ways to rout a stand-alone tanpura (Indian drone instrument) generator into Live and tried to use Rewire. This didn't really work and I switched to using Soundflower, which works fine for my needs. The problem is I get a dialog box everytime I try to open Live saying that an error occurred using Rewire and that I need to open Live first(blahblahblah) Live won't open till I click it. I shut off everything to do with Rewire in my Prefs that I could find. This happens everytime, even when that other program is not open. Anyone know how to shut this puppy off? Seems to me it should have the option "don't show this message again" or something. Someone please help before I go insane!
