OSX Rocks! Windows Sucks!
OSX Rocks! Windows Sucks!
Hi!
Use what you want! But don't be stupid! Look at OS X and you will notice that every update for the OS X is getting better and better! Windows can't beat that fact! In not even a year OS X will be the No. 1 system worldwide for making music that's for sure! And no "Longhorn" can change that fact!
The problems here on this forum is that "Live" really sucks! It's unstable and very bad written! and that's a fact! Why sell a programm for money when it's not finish and stable? Look at proppellerheads from sweden they know what programming is and I think that Ableton could learn a lot from them! Fact is that in the future OS X will be the No. 1 system for audio, for me it's allready!
Just have to say this.......
regards

With respect, if you want to promote something why not promote a human rights issue, not a computer program...even on this forum...we can take itxzusa8ky wrote:Hi!

You want "evidence" then try a G5 with OS X that should do it....And I don't say that anyone is stupid! If you feel stupid now...I can understand you!.....

I was going to stay out of this Mac vc PC debate because it's so dull. But it's a slow day, so what the fuck.vince watson wrote: surely if your a serious musician then money should not be no object?

When I started out years ago I just couldn't afford a Mac. This was before the whoel software revolution, so I invested in a PC and hardware kit. I've had various issues with PC's over the years but have managed to get fix them, by and large and have never really had a reason to lay out so much more for a Mac.
A few weeks ago I was having serious issues with external MIDI timing but an upgrade to XP sorted it out. I have my XP machine locked down now - it's extremely stable, fast and the timing is tight. If you know what you're doing and spend a little time doing some research you can get yourself a great DAW for a lot less money - and still be serious about music.
You should rephrase that to:vince watson wrote: surely if your a serious musician then money should not be no object?
"Surely if you were born into a rich family or sell lots of illegal drugs/weapons/prostitute your ass and you decide to be a musician, money should be no object"
For everyone else, serious or not, it certainly is an object.

Be more realistic - put my professinally tweaked and installed Toshiba H/T 3.4ghz P4 17' desknote next to a 17" PB - funny it ran the Live 4 performance test 1% lower than a dual 2.5G5 powerMac.xzusa8ky wrote:Hi!
