Basic NI Komplete question

How do I install the Komplete .dll files in my Live 8 plug-in devices?

So this should be a basic task (I did it fine on my laptop), but this is unusually complicated on my desktop.

I am using 64-bit Windows 7, so I copied both the 32 and 64 .dll to separate folders, then scanned, but nothing shows up.

Am I missing something?

I don't have komplete but usually when you run the installer you are prompted to select your vst folder and the installer will do the rest. I'd try a re-install and make sure you select the correct folders.
