Hi, can Ableton do something like the multitake recording of Garageband?
Where you set a region and loop it and keep recording, and it makes a different track from each "take" (times you repeated the region) and then you can click the track and change it to different takes, it stores them all in the same track.
And if it doesn't, does it have something similar?
Multitake Recording
Re: Multitake Recording
I am afraid Multitake as you described it does not exist in Ableton Live as of today. However I do use multitake recording a lot.
I use the session view and I record as many clips as many takes or a mammoth
single clip. When finished, I duplicate the mammoth clip and then by adjusting the loop pointers I obtain 'takes'. Once there when I record into arrangement I got the work done.
Hope it helps.

Re: Multitake Recording
I just know this feature is going to be in Live 9, if not then what's the point.
