Hi guys.
Need a bit of help.
I'm trying to make a mix in Ableton with tracks that have different BPM's.
But the annoying thing is all the tracks end up getting synced to the global tempo, so for example in arrangement when I warp a track thats 125 BPM and then line up the transition for the next which may be 108....it warps the track to 125....
Any way to change the settings so I can warp tracks but not have them synced to the global tempo?

for a dj mix in arrangement view, if you want to segue from a warped track at 125bpm to another at 108bpm, with both playing at their original bpm, then you'll have to add some master tempo automation.(master drop down menu, bottom right of arrange view).
as a side note, if you were doing a live mix in session view you'd make your project tempo change by naming the relevant scene with the new bpm....

Thanks for responding mate!
Ok cool man i'll automate the tempo and see how that helps. Its annoyin though cos its things like this that make me think...Why dont I just record it Live in Traktor. OR....In the session view.

What do you mean by naming?

i agree....record it live from the session view into the arrange view. you get the fun and practice of doing it live with the ability to jump into arrange when you're done and fine tune your transitions before rendering.
by renaming the scene, i mean exactly that ....click on the scene and rename it to "108bpm". now when you launch the scene the project tempo will jump immediately to 108.....

Bloody good advice man! Spot on with practising to do it live as thats what I want to eventually do (DJ with Live...live!).
Thanks man, appreciate it.
