User remote scripts – mutes/solos?

Post by pickerin1 » Mon Jul 18, 2011 11:43 am

Does anyone have any tips on mapping mute buttons with user remote scripts? I've managed to get everything else working on my BCR2000 – volume knobs, sends etc. but not mute or solo buttons. They seem to be missing from the default configuration file. The alternative was to map them using mackie mode which I've managed to do, except the toggles don't function properly (they either don't light up at all when 'on', or they require two presses in toggle mode). I know they're capable of being mapped properly because they work fine using Live's midimap. Would love to get to the bottom of this!!

Cheers

Also, does anyone know if it's possible to clear a midimap entirely in one fell swoop? (want to avoid mappings on previous projects overriding my default remote script). Any help on either of these would be much appreciated!!

Cheers

W.T.F.? No MUTE, SOLO, or TRACK SELECT. Why did such important and standard buttons get left out and why hasn't it been fixed by now? Why hasn't control surface User Configuration evolved any (exactly 1 Year since this thread was first Posted! The feature was intro'd in version 6)?

Some Parametric EQ encoders would be nice too (Tascam FW-1884 here doing the Mackie Control emulation bit and dreaming of Native Support someday, sigh!).

Perhaps NO ONE has complained to Ableton Support (I will do so, it's the right thing to do)?
