Sound card!

Hellooo!

Over the last year i have been DJing with Live at gigs... I use a MacBook Pro, an APC40 and i plug a 3.5mm Stereo Jack to 2 Male RCA Phono Cable from the back of the mixer into my laptop. Literally every gig i do the sound is shit cos im running off my laptop soundcard... pretty tacky too lol

Just wandering what the best solution is really... I know i have to buy an external soundcard but i don't really know which one to suit my needs!? I know Audio 4 DJ do some good sound cards... and i know that the MOTU Ultralite is a beast too but thats quite expensive... (I don't use live instruments or anything just wavs / mp3s in ableton)

Also, my brother has an SL3... is it possible to use that as a soundcard without using the bridge????

I had the NATIVE INSTRUMENTS TRAKTOR AUDIO 2 and the output kicks ass. If you don't need any inputs and something very portable, this is your answer, IMHO.

got one too, it's awesome - their Cirrus AD transformation is the best there is.
As long as you don't use any external devices (synts or intruments) being plugged in this is your choice!
And it offers more than enough pressure to rock any big PA.
