disable auto-cropping of available notes in midi clips

when using a drum rack or ie. a soundfont via sfz vst, you create a midi clip and enter a few notes, then you go out of the midi-clip editing view and go back again and the available notes, the keys to be inserted notes at have been cropped to the ones you had input and all other non-used notes/keys are hidden.

why is it designed like this? it's making me want to chew cartboard and tear off my shirt and go green

my wish is for this to be just disabled as it makes no sense to me. I basically have to copy the notes, then delete the midi clip and create a new one and paste in order to continue working every time.

very frustrating.
