Picked up a kp3 yesterday to integrate into my Ableton live setup. However, finding that the global clock doesn't sync nicely with an external DAW I decided that the best way to go was to trigger the sample process with quantised midi clips from ableton.
However, no matter what I try I cannot get the KP3 to receive midi notes.
Ableton recognises the KP3, I have set KP3 (SOUND) to track and remote in midi prefs.
I have created 4 midi clips with notes C2, C#2, D2, D#2 that have a note on velocity of 127. I am routing these notes to KP3 (SOUND)
BUT THEY WILL NOT BLIMMIN' TRIGGER!
Does anyone else here have any tips or tricks for getting this right? Maybe something I have missed.
Oh and I have RTFM and scoured the Korg forum for help. It seems people can and have done what I am trying to achieve but they rarely jot down their methodology for others to use.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
