I like to route my returns back into an audio track for mixing purposes.
This though gives me a delay/latency on the audio track, ruining drum patterns going into returns completely.
How can this happen when it is all ITB? Is this a bug?
Routing within Ableton causes delay problems.

Re: Routing within Ableton causes delay problems.
This is not a bug but a side effect of the processing order of tracks.
First normal (audio/midi) tracks are processed and inputs for return tracks are calculated
using settings of tracks' return sends. After that the return tracks are processed.
This could be fixed by allowing return tracks the be processed before some audio tracks but this would lead to latency in return tracks. Not desirable.
