DMX Hell! Please help!

Hey Guys & Gals,

I'm relatively new to Ableton. Just been using it for a few tours. Love it.

Want to incorporate a simple light set up to our existing set.

Once we start live, I play to a click (track layout) w/ live vocal automation, etc... AND would love to add an automated lighting system - very simple to turn two disco ball lights on / off at various points in the set.

I have NO idea where to start & could use some fast wicked help. From what I gather, I need a MAX interface for Ableton, some sort of breakout box, and a plethora of numbers, and interface options I know nothing about.

If anyone has gone down this route and is willing to go deep with me I could compensate them for yr time & knowledge if you can get this train on the tracks. I'm in the USA - so our threshold of lighting excellence is nowhere near you Euro/UK folks. Plus, I play rock and roll...so we're used to a desk lamp being our only lighting. Would appreciate any insights.
